Through a Strategic Partnership with the University of London, ACCA Continues to Expand Its Educational Pathways for Students in Egypt
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has announced a new added benefit for its students in Egypt, allowing them to obtain a UK bachelor’s or master’s degree from one of the leading British universities remotely while progressing through the ACCA professional qualification. The initiative represents an important step in combining professional certification with internationally recognised academic credentials in the fields of accounting and finance.
ACCA explained that the global finance profession is evolving rapidly, meaning that future finance leaders increasingly require a combination of professional qualifications and internationally recognised academic credentials. In response to these developments, ACCA has designed its qualification to offer a comprehensive pathway that goes beyond the traditional concept of professional certifications.
The pathway enables ambitious students in Egypt to combine their professional studies with a UK academic degree without the need to travel or interrupt their careers, through a flexible online learning format.
A UK Bachelor’s Degree While Studying ACCA
Within this framework, ACCA highlighted that its partnership with the University of London allows students to obtain a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Professional Accountancy while progressing through the ACCA Qualification.
The programme recognises the academic value of the ACCA syllabus, allowing students to convert part of their professional studies into a globally recognised UK bachelor’s degree. This is achieved by replacing two modules within the ACCA programme with two academic modules delivered as part of the University of London degree programme, effectively integrating academic learning within the professional qualification journey.
The programme is delivered through a flexible online learning format, enabling students in Egypt to obtain a globally recognised UK degree without the need to travel abroad.
A UK Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Through ACCA from Within Egypt
In addition, ACCA Members and Affiliates can continue their academic journey through postgraduate programmes, including the Master of Science (MSc) in Professional Accountancy offered by the University of London.
The programme enables finance professionals to convert the knowledge and expertise gained through the ACCA Qualification into a recognised UK master’s degree through a flexible online format designed to accommodate the needs of working professionals in the finance sector.
Strengthening Global Career Opportunities
ACCA emphasised that combining a professional qualification with an academic degree provides students with a strong competitive advantage in the global job market, where employers increasingly seek candidates who combine professional expertise with strong academic foundations.
The pathway supports students and finance professionals in Egypt in expanding their international career mobility, opening opportunities to work within global financial institutions and multinational companies.
Supporting Finance Talent in Egypt
ACCA continues to expand its presence in Egypt through partnerships with universities, learning providers, and employers, enabling more students to access internationally recognised finance education pathways.
The association also works to support a growing professional community in Egypt through industry events, professional discussions, and opportunities that connect students and affiliates with finance leaders both locally and globally.
These initiatives form part of ACCA’s long-term strategy to help develop a new generation of globally qualified finance professionals capable of contributing to the continued development of Egypt’s financial sector and its integration within the global economy.
Expanding Digital Engagement with the Egyptian Finance Community
In a new step reflecting its commitment to the Egyptian market, ACCA has also launched a dedicated official website for Egypt, designed to provide students and affiliates with direct access to information, learning resources, and guidance to help them plan their professional journey and successfully complete their exams.
The association has also launched its official Facebook community group, ACCA Egypt Official, creating a dedicated platform to strengthen engagement with the accounting and finance community across Egypt and facilitate direct communication with students, affiliates, and professionals in the sector.
